The most expensive watch to be ever made was a gold plated pocket watch which was sold at £7.12 million. It was the most complicated watch ever to be made involving 24 complications (complications are functions inside the watch other than the hour, seconds and the minute hands functions). This expensive watch was made by Patek Philippe for Henry GravesJr. It had an everlasting calendar with age and phases of the moon indication, sunset and sunrise indication, celestial charts showing constellation of stars. Before this watch the most expensive watch was Vacheron Constantin Tour de l'Ile which cost £0.91 million which was auctioned in Geneva in the ear 2005.
