BANKHEAD ACADEMY

The Bankhead Academy is a school situated in the Aberdeenshire locality in the city of Aberdeen, on Bankhead Avenue in Bucksburn. The academy’s main objectives are: to enhance interaction between the school, the parents and the whole society at large; help parents to understand exactly what the school has in mind for the child’s development; and also to improve the educational standards of the academy. In this regard, the Bankhead Academy school board has set up a support school project as well.

The Bankhead Academy has many useful aims and policies. Some of them are as follows: - make maximum out of the children’s talents to perform excellently at all their tasks; speak out against unfair practices or favoritism; built up their strength to keep going even after facing challenges; to be well-mannered and honest towards all at the academy and outside; aim to develop fine quality relationships; to help in encouraging, inspiring and motivating the children in their work; and lastly to develop the child to become successful at learning, to become responsible in their work, and to be confident about themselves.

The Bankhead Academy also has certain rules about their policies, like allocating the staff timings and children’s schedules on a regularly basis, a strict anti-bullying policy; a Behavior Modification Policy or BMP which is used for maintaining discipline; an in classroom observatory program; a dress code; a pre-planned curriculum schedule; and also a pupil support structure to ensure they are safe.

The Bankhead Academy has long been one of the top schools in the Aberdeenshire area. The academy has created a strong reputation for itself by its steady teaching methods, its strong drive for equal opportunities and its constant level of improvements in terms of the schools standards of education. The academy doesn’t focus only on academics, but gives an equal importance to sports, creativity and the overall personality development of the students.
